Our February calendar shows no sign of letting up as we welcome yet another world-renowned international act to make their Vessel debut. Tonight it is the turn of DJ/Production duo of Plastik Funk, consisting of Rafael Ximenez of Madrid, Spain and Mikio from Tokyo, Japan, both currently residing in the German city of Dusseldorf.
They come to Vessel on the back of their most successful year to date, which has seen Avicii play their track “Who” at nearly every festival date in his calendar. Countless chart successes which saw them claim the accolade of Germany's #1 Single Act, smashing into the Beatport top 10, or hitting #2 in the German dance charts, #1 on Slam FM and #1 on Energia 97FM in Brasil, #1 French DJ Buzz Charts, #6 Portugal Radio Charts.

ABOUT PLASTIK FUNK:
Rafael Ximenez born in Madrid and Mikio from Tokyo are the DJ Team PLASTIK FUNK.
Together the two DJs, who are now living in Duesseldorf, Germany, form an important part of worldwide nightlife. Gigs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Hawaii, Zurich, Ibiza, Mallorca, Barcelona, Prague, Vienna, Tokyo that are some of the places which they have already enchanted with their sound.
All major events in Germany (Mayday, Sensation White, Loveparade...) have seen their performance already. But touring abroad and bringing their sound to all the continents of the world is their mission since 2002.
In the summerseason, they are residents of the legendary Space Ibiza party „Cafe Ole“ and „Republik at Space“ playing at the most desired place to work: the Space Terrace.
2011 with their remake of „C&C Musicfatory – Everybody Dance Now“ entering the german sales charts Top50 and will go further with more singles coming on Tiger Records, CR2, Hotfingers, Stealth, Housesession, Ministry of Sound and a lot more.
Collaborations with their buddies Sergio Flores, Stefano Noferini, Paul Gardner, Lissat & Voltaxx, Chris Montana, Blue & Deep, Gabriel & Castellon or Dave Kurtis.
After a successful year 2011 in which Plastik Funk became Germany's #1 Single Act according to the Deutsche Dance Charts, the guys keep the dice rolling in 2012 as well! Besides various remixes for artists like Queensberry, Joachim Garraud or Criminal Vibes (Pump Up The Jam), Plastik Funk's own productions can be found among the top places in the common charts again.
